Multi award winning entrepreneur Anne Timpany has been invited by the Everywoman organisation to be part of its 20th anniversary celebrations. Everywoman is launching a national, government endorsed Entrepreneur Programme with the objective to increase the number of women starting businesses and accelerate their growth.
This free programme will provide entrepreneurs with:
- Role model case studies
- A tool to elevate their PR exposure
- Networking opportunities
- Advice on important growth challenges such as funding
With only 5.5 per cent of women versus 10.4 per cent of men running their own businesses, the programme’s end-goal is to help close the entrepreneurial gender gap in the UK..
Anne Timpany, multi award winning CEO of leading commercial plumbing and mechanical installation firm On Tap Plumbers says “ It’s a year since I was honoured to be the recipient of a Natwest everywoman award for entrepreneurship. They want to reach and inspire women throughout the UK via a national media campaign #selfmade, and they have invited successful entrepreneurs like me to be the face of it.
“When it launches I will have a profile on the website as an Ambassador and will feature in their media campaign targeting regional and national press. I will also be attending events with start ups and young entrepreneurs. It is so exciting to be able to pass on what I know to the next generation about starting up and running a successful business It’s a transformational programme and my aim is to help to inspire other women who are thinking of starting or growing their businesses to take the next step.”
Anne’s profile required details of her background, a 100 word piece that summed up what has been integral to her business, a short statement on why she is supporting this programme and she was asked to share the three burning questions she had/what she wished she’d known, and the advice she would give herself today.
