Multi-ward winning commercial plumbing and mechanical installation firm On Tap Plumbers has been awarded the contract for Hob House, a Grade 2 listed John Nash building, which is being redeveloped by Brizac Gonzalez in collaboration with Arquitectonica. Hob House will be a mixed-use building comprising 19 residential units, 1 400m² office space, an art gallery and 850m retail.

On Tap Plumbers will be installing a Boosted Cold Water supply from basement plant room to serve the residential apartments’ cold and hot water fixtures, office bathrooms, kitchens and the National Gallery retail areas. The company will also be installing all Soil, Vent and Rain water stacks in HDPE, with each soil stack taking waste and soil from the apartments and office areas in PVC pipe, above ground drainage floats. All water pipes, such as BCWS, MCW and LTHW will be installed with a crimp copper system The contract also includes installing fixtures, such as kitchens, baths, toilets and hand basins and On Tap Plumbers are working hand in hand with Interserve.

The redevelopment will be sensitively done and in keeping with the building’s history and character.

“The contract is for 7.months and adds to our current portfolio of eight different construction sites in London, including Battersea Power Station, Wood Wharf and the Madison in the City. We have 90 plumbers and ten apprentices hard at work across the capital.”
